J'aime This Commercial

I saw part of this commercial the other day and was struck by its romance.

It gives me goose bumps every time I watch it? Does it give you goosebumps, or am I just a hopeless romantic? Her face is just so expressive...

Ever since I saw Kate Winslet in "The Holiday" I've been a fan (think more "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and less "Titanic"). She's a great actress and beautiful to boot, and I think this ad is evidence. As the new ambassador of Tresor perfume, Kate said, "I didn’t feel that I was just being asked to be the face of something,” she says. “It was me as a person…and my message to women – about being real in who you are and comfortable in your skin.” I like the commercial because it "relies on the strength of the subject’s face, not the suggestiveness of her sultry pose." Contrast the above commercial with this one, which I find particularly obnoxious:

And here is a different version that I found on YouTube. By switching out the song the whole mood becomes edgier (think more "Bourne Identity" and less "Titanic").

Are there any other uber-romantic commmercials on the tube lately? (Actually, I think the one where the husband sneaks in the middle of the night and puts the diamond necklace on his wife while she's sleeping is pretty sweet. I like the song too. With the holidays coming on these types of sappy commercials should be in abundance. I digress.) Anyway, I look forward to the next installment in the Tresor ad campaign.
